As a pastor, I sometimes have what we call children's meeting. In this time I use illustrations that they can understand and to be honest, the adults enjoy this time also.
One such time I have taken a number of pictures of different animals and put them on an overhead projector. I would uncover them one at a time and ask them what they see. They would always identify the animal. I then would disagree with them and call it something else. For instance, I might call a bird a groundhog. But I can never convince them that it is a groundhog. Do you know why? Because it isn't. We cannot fool these children for what they actually see.
Today there are Christians that exhibit the world and try and fool others that they are Christians. Friends, Can we fool people for what they really see in us? Can we really mirror the ways of the world and then try and convince others that we are Christians?
The Bible says in Ga 5:25* If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. It says in 2Cor. 5: 20* Now then we are ambassadors for Christ. I encourage us to not only claim to have the Spirit, but to live that way. I encourage us to be ambassadors for Christ, not for the world.
God bless you this week as you live for the Master and our Maker.
